Health Ministries Clinic is a safety-net clinic located in Newton, serving patients from 4 counties. We rely heavily on the volunteer efforts of 6 Family Medicine physicians from Wichita Clinic-Bethel, which is our local Wichita Clinic branch. They give us their half-day off once a month. We also have 2 retired Wichita Clinic doctors who continue to see patients here, and several other physicians will see our patients in their offices. These physicians share their time and expertise out of a desire to give to those less fortunate. Without their contributions, many of these patients would be without care.

Wichita has the second-shortest commute time in the nation among larger cities, averaging approximately 17 minutes. The city is bisected by the north-south I-135 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Expressway or “canal route”) and the east-west Kellogg Avenue (US highway 54 and US 400), and circling the city are I-235 and K-96 highways, allowing easy access to any part of town.
