Testimonials
Collaboration, multispecialty support, cutting edge technology, and sharing electronic medical records were important to me when I decided where to practice. I enjoy the collegiality with other departments and the fact that I can just pick up the phone and other physicians are available for me. They are very helpful when we’re discussing my patients and I’m impressed with that. I also wanted to practice medicine and not deal with the administrative side. Location, partners, opportunity, and the ability to have family time were the overriding reasons I chose to practice at Wichita Clinic.

(Wichita, KS) –Wichita Clinic Immediate Care-Murdock (3311 E Murdock) has met all Certified Urgent Care criteria as a Category 1 center as established by the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA). This certification required an on-site visit to evaluate care and treatment at the center. (A full list of the certification criteria is available at www.ucaoa.org/recognition_certification.php). Wichita Clinic Immediate Care-Murdock is currently the only Certified Urgent Care Center in Kansas (see http://www.ucaoa.org/recognition_certification_certifiedsites.php) and provides treatment for walk-in patients with immediate healthcare needs who don’t require emergency care. Immediate Care hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday from noon to 6 pm. Holiday hours may vary.
According to the Joint Commission and the Urgent Care Association of America there are 8,000 urgent care centers nationwide. Only a small percentage have been certified by the UCAOA. Wichita Clinic’s Immediate Care Practice Manager Drew Hare says, “Our staff plays an increasingly important role in the healthcare industry by giving patients an alternative when an appointment with their doctor isn’t available or convenient. We provide care during regular business hours Monday through Friday and also see patients on evenings and weekends.” For more information call 316-689-9107.
