Testimonials

George L. Lucas, MDI left a very successful orthopaedic practice in Madison, Wisconsin (one of America’s most desirable cities in which to live) to join Wichita Clinic over 20 years ago. My wife and I have never regretted the move and have been very content living and working in Wichita. There are many opportunities to be involved in cultural affairs such as the Wichita Symphony, Chamber Music at the Barn, The Wichita Art Museum and many others. We have enjoyed being members of the Wichita Chapter of the American Institute of Wine and Food and are enjoying a renaissance of fine dining opportunities that have opened up in Wichita the past few years. Although we love visiting New York, Chicago, Washington, and San Francisco, we plan to remain here in Wichita if and when I ever retire from my position at Wichita Clinic.

Dr. Stanley Capper received Wichita Clinic’s Founders’ Award on Saturday, April 12th at Wichita Clinic’s annual Founders’ Award celebration. Dr. Capper is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and joined Wichita Clinic in 1973. He belongs to the following professional organizations: American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology and Kansas Dermatology Society. Dr. Capper currently practices at Wichita Clinic Northeast located at 9211 E. 21st St. (316-609-4558).

The Founder’s Award is presented each year to the Wichita Clinic physician who most exemplifies the following criteria: provides excellent patient care, enhances patient care by positive interactions with others in the group, and maintains excellent rapport with peers, personnel, and patients. “The Founders’ Award is given to the physician that best exemplifies the strongest and best motivation of the group, advancing patient care by interacting positively with colleagues and staff. Dr. Capper has lived this both through his work at Wichita Clinic and his work with the people in Haiti. We are inspired and blessed to have such a colleague,” said Dr. Robert S. Kenagy, Chief Medical Officer at Wichita Clinic.

The recipients are nominated by the Board of Directors and chosen by a vote of the professional staff. Previous recipients have included Drs. Hummer, Drevets, Menking, Leitner, Skibba, Lucas, Schlicher, Murphy, and Taylor.

With over 160 doctors practicing over 40 specialties, Wichita Clinic P.A. is the state’s largest outpatient multi-specialty group practice and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Owned and governed by its doctors, Wichita Clinic has eleven locations in the Wichita metropolitan area. More than half a million patient visits were made to Wichita Clinic in 2007. Wichita Clinic operates in Sedgwick, Harvey and Butler counties.
